​​Neels Du Toit, (Cycle Roots owner and guide), arrived in Hogsback in 2010. This was his last stop before heading back to his home in Port St Johns.  He never left...!​

And so, Cycle Roots was born.!

​

Neels has been building and maintaining the single track mountain bike paths through the forests of Hogsback for the past two years.

​

Hogsback mountain biking has become extremely popular over the last couple of years and Cycle Roots has featured in some of the top magazines in the country, including Getaway, Country Life and Tread Magazines.  He has also featured in a few national papers including the Sunday Times, Daily Dispatch and Die Burger.
